Welcome to Gray Star Photography.
Photography has always been a big part of my life. I like to use natural light and very rarely use flash. I am not a big fan of ritzy equipment. When I shoot, its me, the camera and my subject. I like to think the moments I share with my subjects, whether they be with a person, an animal or an object, are very personal. I simply try to capture the true moment in front of me.
Being a graphic designer, I have learned to incorporate my digital design skills into my work and add more depth to my photographs. The end result will be an overall unique experience.
{Melissa is a BFA graduate with a degree in Graphic Design. She lives and works in Long Island as a freelance designer/writer with her fiance Dan Arena and little yorkie mix, Olive. She is currently the designer for Petite Picasso and Sensational Color and has done work for St. Francis Winery, DaVinci Roofscapes, artist Leonard Meiselman and ValSecrets among others.
